Buying and Selling Surplus

Q. Are the items you sell genuine U.S. Military Surplus?

A. Yes, we buy and sell a variety of items, but we mainly purchase Government Issue items.  We purchase items that can be turned back into CIF.  We also buy some requested after-market items.

Q. What types of items do you buy?

A.Government Issue PT’s, uniforms, TA-50….including Ponchos and Poncho Liners. We purchase ammo cans, M-4 Magazines, base plates and helmet mounts, assault packs (issue and after-market), MRE’s, knives, after-market boots and issue boots (when needed).

Q. Are there restrictions on what you can buy or sell?


We are not allowed to purchase or sell items restricted by the Government, which include, but are not limited to:  Body Armor, Night Vision, Chemical Suits and ACH’s (advanced combat helmet).


Q.Can I get a list of what you are buying or selling?


List changes daily based on our needs, but you can refer to the “Products” tab on the main page for a basic list.

Q.I have some things I want to sell, what do I need to do next?

A. It is best to bring them into the store between 10am-6pm, Monday through Friday and 10am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday.  If you have just a few items, you can call the store at (706) 689-6955 and ask if we are purchasing those certain items at that time.

Q. Do you pay cash?


We write vouchers and depending on the amount, the main store (Commando Military Supply) will cash the voucher or write you a check.

Purchasing and Shipping

Q. Can I order online?

A. No, we cannot take orders online, but you may call (706) 689-6955 and place orders over the phone.

Q. Do you ship in the U.S., what about overseas?

A. Yes, we ship to the U.S. and overseas as well as APO and FPO addresses.

Q. How long will it take my order to ship?

A. Orders that are placed Monday through Friday before 3 pm will ship out the same day (assuming that all requested items are in stock). Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will ship out the following Monday.

Q. Do I have to pay tax on my purchase?

A. Yes, tax must be applied to all orders.


Q. What if something is not what I wanted or doesn't fit, can I return it?

A. Yes we accept returns. You must have your receipt and returns need to made within 30 days of purchase. Boots and other items must show no sign or wear and must be able to be placed back on the shelf for resale.
